CCD Teachers

Mrs. Mary Lou Dumas- Director of Religious Education

Mary Lou has been a part of the CCD program at St. Mary’s for the past 17 years. She started teaching 7th grade and Confirmation classes, and has been in the director position for the past 15 years. She is the recipient of the St. John Neumann award, St. Pius X award and the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton award. Mary Lou also holds a certificate of master in catechism. Mrs. Dumas presently sits on the parish pastoral council, and has shared her talents and time on many organizations and activities here at St. Mary’s.

Pre K & Kindergarten

Miss Regina Matarazzo is in her 3rd year of teaching Pre K & Kindergarten here at St. Mary’s. She is a graduate of Notre Dame High School in East Stroudsburg and is currently attending Northampton Community College in pursuit of a degree in education. Regina is also a member of our acolyte ministry. She was the program director for the Great Bible Reef Vacation Bible School this summer.

Miss Lisa Collier is also a member of our Pre K & Kindergarten team. She has been sharing her time and talents for the past 3 years. Lisa was an aide at this year’s vacation bible school. She is a senior at Pocono Mountain East High School.

Miss Megan Fitzpatrick is a 3 year member of our Pre K & Kindergarten program. Megan is also an acolyte and a senior at Notre Dame High School in East Stroudsburg.

Miss Gloria Troost has been a face involved in the CCD program here at St. Mary’s for many years. She recently joined the Pre K & Kindergarten program as an aide and is a member of our acolyte ministry. She was also the director of games for this year’s vacation bible school. She attends Pocono Mountain East High School.

1st Grade

Ms. Janet Rozzi has been teaching our 1^st Graders for 11 years. Mrs. Gloria Ski has been teaching for 13 years. Gloria is also a member of our Eucharist minister team. Both Ms. Rozzi and Mrs. Ski have received the St. John Neumann 5 year award from the Diocese of Scranton for their years of service. Gloria has also received the St. Pius award for 10 years as a CCD teacher.

2nd grade

Mr. Mike Ziobro joined the CCD staff as a teacher of the 5th grade 9 years ago. He now teaches 2nd grade and is a co-teacher for the 2nd grade Sacramental Program. Mike has received the St. John Neumann award, and is a member of the Eucharist Ministry at St. Mary’s.

Substitute teachers and aides

Mrs. Mary Krayeski and Mrs. Carol Moore are our full time substitute teachers/aides with
children of special needs. Both ladies have been on the CCD staff for 2 years.

Andrew Tolpa has joined us an aide for 1st grade. Andrew is also in the acolyte ministry here at St. Mary's. He is very active in the community with the Pocono Summit Fire Dept and presently in 8th grade.
